Day 3 (November 13, 2005)
- We woke up at 6:45, temp +6C - Started at 8:00 am (rain was starting) - Rain started heavily at 8:40 - First intersection 9:00 - Rain stopped at 9:20 - Second intersection 10:00 - Otter creek 10:50 - East River 11:20 - Intersection 2/3 loop 11:45 - Stop at Ramona lake (last site) for lunch at 12:00. - Started at 1:00 temp +10C - Susan lake at 1:50 (first camp site) - Lookout 2:00 - Redwing lake second site 3:00 - Break 10 minutes - Lupus lake 3:30 - Thunder lake 3:50, stop here for the night.Weather windy, temp +6. Highlights of the day: - We finally decided to start hiking on time. - It was raining for about 1 hour, we had to put backpack covers - Nice campsite (Thunder Lake) but wind started as soon as we were
done with dinner. - In the morning when we woke up, 1/4" of snow was on the ground. Total walking time: 6 hours 40 min Total distance: 19.5 km Average speed: 2.93 km/hr
